Want a Tour in Times Square?

If so, there are some things to know about what to NOT do while you are in Times Square:

  • Many people who live and work in New York City walk through Times Square Daily, so try to get out of the way of people who clearly are on their way to or from work. Many people who are touring Times Square want to just stop in the middle of everything and stare up. This can cause mishaps when people are trying to get to where they need to go.
  • Don’t walk hand in hand with your partner. There is not enough room in Times Square for this. You really should be walking single file at all times when you take a tour of Times Square.
  • Never block pedestrian traffic around Times Square by tying to hail a cab anywhere near the square. The best way to get a cab near Times Square is to walk a block east/west and you can usually find a free cab.
  • When you exit the ATM, don’t have your money out and count it for everyone to see. This is a great way to lose your money.

Don’t look at your map right there on the sidewalk on Times Square, as you are attracting the attention of thieves.
